The Essen Christmas Beer Festival is a very, very special and merry festival featuring many delightful seasonal Belgian brews, which are only available in Essen and in limited quantities. “...a Belgian fest is something that needs to be experienced at least once by all true beer enthusiasts,” says renowned beer writer Stephen Beaumont. This unique tour begins in Brussels and culminates at the famous “Kerstbierfestal” in Essen, near Antwerp.
This is paradise for Belgian beer lovers. In the days prior to the festival we will visit some famous and lesser-known breweries, visit the romantic medieval city of Bruges and other spectacular locations. Think warm fireplaces, fine cuisine, cozy, old-world cafes and, of course, savoring a seemingly infinite number of fine Belgian beers. Oh yes, diamond shopping in Antwerp, not that anyone was thinking in that direction. There will be plenty of fee time to explore independently or simply relax in your hotel. Conveniently set between Thanksgiving and Christmas, what the heck would you be doing during this time, anyway?
